Alert | Is the next scheduled meeting.
I'm in need of someone to help pass out flyers in our community about the meeting. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Send me a PM or email to twostep23@aol.com.

Alert | | Can we start getting more notice than one week? We'd like to be a part of community events, but need more than a week to plan for it. The sale was planned at the last minute and now this meeting is only a week away. I'm sure it's been planned for longer than that. | | Live, Laugh, Love!

Alert | The garage sale was first talked about and mentioned at the July 18 HOA board meeting. Also the first post that was made about it was on 10/12/07.
The block watch meeting was also mentioned at the last HOA board meeting on 10/17/07.
Kids are allowed at the meeting. Feel free to bring them.
I've been told by many residents that notice more than a week away leads them to forget about the meeting and miss it. A couple of days notice is what I got as the average time needed since it is always held during the week.
Unfortunately not everyone will agree and for that I'm sorry. | | Senior Member Posts: 4625 Joined: Feb 2006

Alert | | The idea of a garage sale was mentioned, but nothing was finalized until a few weeks ago. A few days notice will not get attendance. Why can't the meeting dates be posted on here with a reminder a few days out for those that can't write dates down? | | Live, Laugh, Love!

Alert | | That's an awesome idea. Maybe you can be recruited to be the chairman of a public relations committee? The community can use all the help that it can get. | | Senior Member Posts: 4625 Joined: Feb 2006

Alert | | The block watch meeting was very informative but so few people. Let's all get together and come to these meetings to keep our community safe! It's also a great way to meet each other!

Alert | Yeah it was very disappointing in the number of people that attending.
There was only 9 people that signed in that were not part of the Block Watch or the HOA Board. And of that 9 three were neighbor/friends of mine.
Basically there is 418 homes and we only had 12 home represented.
We all need to remember that our first line of defense is our neighbors. We can't keep our community crime free if we're not willing to get involved and meet our neighbors.

Alert | Totally hear what your saying but no matter what day we chose there will be people that can't attend or agree that it's a good day or time.
Agree that for some it also might be late. But I would like to applaud the two parents that did come with their kids. As they mentioned to me "it's only one night and this is worth it. Heck they will be out later next week on Halloween."
We did take a quick survey of people at the Board meeting as when they thought it would be a good time and a Wednesday @ 6:30 was what they came up with.
