Alert | Actually there are a couple but you are not suppose to use them.
They are not paved or maintained so most people wouldn't want to use them anyways. | | "The jouney of life is as much in oneself' as the roads one travels"

Alert | In 2002, Pecos Road was opened for a couple of months from where it currently ends at about 27th Ave in Ahwatukee Foothills to 51st Ave. in the small Indian community.
The stretch between 27th & 51st Avenues was just a dirt road which wasn't maintained and was pretty rough. I'm not sure it was ever "officially" opened. The barricades might have been moved by the contractors building houses at Pecos & 27th Ave.
On one occasion I met a Gila River Police Officer as I drove through there and we stopped to visit. I told him I was sure glad it was open and he told me to enjoy it while I could, that it probably wouldn't last long. And he was right! | | | |
