Alert | Hi
Do you all have a Block Watch Committee yet? If you do, who is the chairperson - I'd like to get in touch with her or him!
Thanks for your help! <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/smile.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Smile' align='absmiddle'>

Alert | | When I lived in Tucson, I had a nosy neighbor that stopped someone from robbing my house! She saw someone "lurking around" my house and saw them go to the side of my house and heard a break, so she called the police and me at work and went to my door and started yelling for me. I guess it scared the intruder out my back door because when I got there the police said there was no one inside. Nothing was taken!

Alert | My personal specialty, was finding stolen cars. I lived on a corner and, unless there was a party, nobody ever parked on that side street. It was a great place to dump a car you'd just stolen from Tempe, however. I found a bunch of them...and wasn't afraid of giving the cops a call with the license plate # to have them check one out. Usually, tho, it took several days for them to get out to take a look at it...and by then, the license plate was gone or the car had been torched.
Oh how I miss my old neighborhood. NOT! | | Nancy

Alert | | about the vin etching, if your car is usually newer than a 1990 most major components are vin#'d the glass on most new cars is below the door seal areas and besides this is the part most broken in theft or removal, there after body parts engs, trans, doors etc remaining shell is torched or scrapped,so it may be a waste of an afternoon's time
