Okay - I have been gone awhile and MM is surrounded by school zone speed limit of 15 signs. The clarification I need is some of them read "When Children are present" does this mean when they are walking around the streets or is the 15 mph for the entire time school is in session regardless of whether or not children are on the street? I have seen alot of cops pulling people over so I want to ensure I am not one of them!

Thanks.

just like devil said 15 mph while school is in session. I beleive the "when children are present" school zone signs are there to curb speeders while the kids are walking to and from school also.

I was taught it means go 15 unless otherwise posted.. Like when you get up by the high school it suddenly becomes 25 when it should actually be 15. I just try to be so careful when I see kids out and going home.I go nice and slow and wait until I see the sign saying end of school zone and a new speed limit posted then speed up to that speed limit unless I see kids around. I know, it is confusing when it says when children are present. I just take that to mean they probably are.
