When I was at Anytime Fitness by Bashas today I noticed on the board that they are having a class for "belly dancing". I guess it is just an intro class to see who might be interested. I am interested because it is such fun and a great way to get in shape. It is good for a whole bunch of things and I am sure the instructor will explain all that. I think the class is 6:30, not sure. You don't see these classes much and so I was sort of excited to learn that A. F. is offering it. Come join us. JO

I have been belly dancing for 4 years now, and love it... It can be a great way to unwind after a long week ... It is fun to accumulate the "gear" so that you can really jingle along to the music too! I hope you enjoy the class.......

I am channeling my "inner cougar".....

I have heard that belly dancing is awesome to keep in fit...ummm...maybe I should try it..lol

joanneurban, what time and days is this class? I would love to try it out. Anything to try to get back in shape and have fun.

I would be interested too. Can you check to what days and how much it costs please? Do you have to have a membership? I have a little "baby fat" that would be nice to tone up lol!

I have a belly dance dvd that does the trick. Probably not as fun as making a fool outta ones self in person tho

I know that I am late on responding to this post....but I take a belly dancing class through Phoenix City of Parks and Recs. It was like $45 for the class that started in Sept and runs through mid Nov. It's an hour long one night a week. It is by far the best core work out I have ever done to date. It's great fun. My girlfriends and I have a blast going. We laugh so much. All I can say is that I am hooked and I have only just begun.
