Hey everybody,

I am moving to maricopa in a few months and am wondering if their are any plans to build a hospital in the city? My wife is a nurse and would like to find employment without a long commute if possible.

Thanks

The short answer is "not anytime soon." But there are several doctor's offices and an Urgent Care in town. Perhaps your wife could find employment there? Welcome to the both of you! :-)

In short, No. You'll have to drive 35 minutes on a lucky day to the nearest hospital in the "Tukee".
I had to take my daughter to the hospital and it took forever to get there. I really hate it out here but I can't move.

First off the hospital is in Chandler not Tukee, and there is a hospital in Casa Grande. Both of the hospitals are 30 minutes or less from Maricopa just depends whether you go north to Chandler or south to Casa Grande. BTW Maricopa is an awesome place to live.

This on a lucky day or during non-cummuting hrs. We choose to live here 30 miles from civilization. I now tell people coming in from other parts of the country to buy in Chandler or Gilbert They have all the facilities nearby in case of an emergency.

Even on its worst commute day, Casa Grande Medical Center is 30 minutes away.

Telling your friends to move to Chandler or Gilbert is fine, but the least expensive parts of Chandler are located far enough to the south that they take just as long to get to the hospital as it would take us in a pinch.
