My son is turning 3 on 10/1 and we have hit crunch time on planning his party. We did a splash pad last year and it was sooooooo hot. We don't have a ton of money to spend and think our house is probably too far away for most of our guests to travel although...it is still an option. Does anyonw have any ideas, stories, recommendations?

Thanks!

We have done several things for our boys, One was going to a karate place they will host the pary take care of the kids and everything it was great, and all the parents loved us because thier kids walked away tired. Anouther Idea we had was to do a pirate party. We had a treasure chest hunt (made a map and had them fallow it), go fishing game, dig for treasure in a small sand box (any tupper wear contanier). hope this helps

Peter Piper Pizza - no clean up for you! Can either do one of their packages or just bring you own stuff and get there to save tables. Kids have a blast, it's cheap and not as far for everyone to travel. One right off of Ray and I-10, or others all over the place.

Who's using me, what should we do? Because you can't be a pimp and a prostitute too. - White Stripes

We are doing our sons 3rd birthday at Pump It Up in Tempe. It is two huge rooms with the inflatable bounce houses, obstacle courses, and a party room with an inflatable throne for the birthday child to sit on.

Their website is www.pumpitupparty.com

A friend of mine just had a bug party. She went to a nursery and bought a box of ladybugs and had the kids try and catch them in the back yard. Instead of cake each kid got to have mud with worms (oreo cookies and chocolet pudding with gummie worms). They also made some bugs with pipe cleaners. She said all the kids loved it and it cost her next to nothing.
