 Alert | Ok...this is just a thought. Since there is really only one way into Maricopa and it looks like there is no light at the end of the tunnel for another way out.
Why not add a few cameras on the hwy 347 that shows the traffic conditions so you know if you need to leave on time or way in advance to get to your destination? All you would have to do is log onto your computer and you could view conditions in realtime either on 85239.com, AZDOT or the cityofmaricopa website.
There have been times that I have left for work on time and arrived 30+ mins early..then left the same time the next day and arrived 30+ mins late. It makes it hard to judge when to leave the home for work, shopping, errands etc...
thoughts?
**btw- its not just because of the resurfacing but I'm taking about the traffic in general..

Alert | I saw on the news where DPS is going to be using cameras to look for stolen cars, expired license plates, etc. I knew when it started with red light cameras, it would keep going.
Why not just put a event recorder in cars that keeps track of speed, location, hours driven, seat belt status, any infractions, time spent at local pubs, etc. The MVD would read it when you register and hand you whatever tickets you had accumulated. Your insurance company would use it to determine your premiums. | |
