Alert | We were able to view about five different fireworks shows from our front porch in Hidden Valley. This is a picture of one of them.

Alert | I will put up a link to my web site when I get it finished - hopefully by next weekend.
Here is a picture of an owl that I shot while waiting for the fireworks to start. We have a family of five of them that show up every night just as it starts to get dark. They play in the pigs pool. One of them always stands guard while the others enjoy themselves. We have it to the point now that I can get up to about two feet away from them before they fly off.

Rex-
This was a 4 or 6 second exposure I would have to look to make sure, though. | | "The jouney of life is as much in oneself' as the roads one travels"

Alert | | Nice one Aaron. You can tell you were right there. You had the perfect shutter speed because you can see all the different things going off. I was shooting from about 18 miles away - on the shots that I left the shutter open too long, it looked like a mushroom cloud over Maricopa. | | Stupid should hurt!

Alert | Okay, here's how you post a picture. This is courtesy of Jason, who patiently showed me how to do it.
Insert the HTML code:

If the image address wraps, don't worry about it. To determine the location of the image, go to it on the web and right click on it. Chose properties from the bottom of the list. Highlight and copy the Address/URL information. Paste that info between the single quotes in the line above.
Some sites, i.e., Kodak Gallery, won't allow the picture to be displayed on another site without having to right click on the image at the new site. Shutterfly works great and it's free. | | Stupid should hurt!
