We need a Food City here. Fry's and Basha are too high price. If Safeway comes "for get about it" way to high. Why are we trying to make Maricopa the next Snotsdale (Scottsdale)- lets keep it simple people!

I like Safeway and all of my groceries would come from there!

So since you started it with your Snotsdale comment....

I would much rather see Maricopa turn in to a Snotsdale then a Guadalupe any day....

Guadalupe has a Wal-Mart, Home depot, Major Mall, Costco, Frys Electronics, S.M. Resort, Denny's, McDonals, Food City, 99 cent store and oh a strip club all within less than 1 mile. Not bad for a small town that is 1 sq mile. How dose Guadalupe sound now. But, your right, I still wouldn't live there. I'm sorry, Devil Dog, but Guadalupe does not have the businesses you listed there. Those are all in Tempe.

Here's what Guadalupe has: Mercado Mexico, Family Dollar, Guadalupe Market, El Tianguis Mercado, San Diego Bay Restaurant, Del Yaqui Restaurant, Taqueria Lupita’s, Flores Mexican Pastry Bakery, Coco Loco’s Sandwich Shop, Waffle House, Carl’s Jr., Inn Suites Hotel, Best Western Hotel, Ramada Express Hotel, Circle K–Union 76 Gas Station.

Christie's... That is in Phoenix and Tempe.. Not Guadalupe!!! Guadalupe is nothing much more then a dust bowl.

As for here, I am all for making this place more like Scottsdale then Guadalupe... The better the town, means more people, means more money for our houses....
I am against WalMart being here; however I am even more against seeing a food city pop up out here. BLECH!

Let's put it this way... if you ever see a Food City in your neighborhood, put your house on the market immediatily and instruct your Realtor to take the first offer.

You will not have to worry about Maricopa becoming the next Scottsdale.

Wrong.. Christie's "claims" Tempe.. but it IS, in fact, in Guadalupe...

LOL - Food City and Upscale Maricopa threads in the same catagory! You can't have it both ways folks...

If Basha's wants to open another store in this market - please make it AJ's instead!

Up until recently.. it was a <b>BIG</b> difference.. you couldn't smoke in a bar in Tempe.. but you could if the bar was in <i>Guadalupe</i>.. <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/smile.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Smile' align='absmiddle'>

doesn't matter anymore.. but that's for another thread.. <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/smile.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Smile' align='absmiddle'>

Well, if you had read Devil Dog's reply correctly, he said Guadalupe had all these things within a mile of them, not that they are actually in that town. SO.....he was actually correct.

Fry's has a really neat hispanic foods concept called "Fry's Mercado" which is awesome if you've never been...I think its around 42nd ave and mcdowell. They also have another concept called "Fry's Signature" that is in Scottsdale and also Anthem. I heard they are building another Fry's out here.. but nothing for sure, yet. With how busy it is they could build one next door and we'd be just fine.

I do however disagree about Fry's prices... I think they are great.

I have never been in a Food City, but I've heard some really disgusting stories <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/sick.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Sick' align='absmiddle'>
