Alert | Looking for advice on the best mobile printer to take with me on sales presentations. Black and white is fine as it would be mainly contract printing. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks! | | | |

Alert | You may also want to consider this one by Canon. You wouldn't believe how fast HP's consumer inkjets go through expensive ink. Plus, Amazon carries this one. | | Joined: Jul 2005

Alert | the canon is a good printer. for once Jason and I agree. BUT One problem depending on the mobility needs this printer may not function because its not battery powered.
if the battery power is not necessarry tthen this is a good choice.

Alert | | True. Another option you may want to consider is an inverter for your car so you can print from the car. I would hate having extra wires hanging around, but I'd hate pouring money into HP's wallet even less. | | Joined: Jul 2005

Alert | I personally prefer Canon over HP. I used to be die hard HP, but I saw the error of my ways. While I don't have a mobile printer, so I cannot speak to that, I have had both Canon and HP. I prefer the Canon for cost issues with cartridges, and ease of use. Canons seem to be quieter too. HP's have always seemed loud, jerky and clunky to me.
Hey, 85239.com, can we PLEASE get some of these edit, wrap and general forum posting issues corrected???

Alert | | I agree with ehe noisyness of the HP printers. They do tend to be extraordinarily noisy. And the print quality of the canon is much better. ONE problem is the ink dries slower with the canon technology for some reason so make sure you use the right paper.

Alert | | That's good to know. I tend to be a bit ansty-grabsy when waiting for my printer to print. Better let the ink dry.

Alert | Fantastic information! Thanks so much for all the input!
So are there no worthwhile portables that are not photo/color printers?
Thanks again! | | | |

Alert | | I don't know of any, but you don't need to load the color cartridge into these printers. Then just set your printouts for economy grayscale and it will only print with black ink. | | Joined: Jul 2005
