Alert | | Isn't it amazing, people spend a quarter of a million dollars for a home but they won't spend $6.95 for weed killer!

Alert | | And then you see homes with yards that look like jungles, yet we get a notice for 2 or 3 weeds. Wish the HOAs had more power to do something about the "Amazon Yards" | | Go Blue!!!!!

Alert | We drove down one street while garage saleing (sp) and counted 14 homes for sale and another 7 that looked vacant (newspapers, leaflets stuck on house). All had a lot of weeds.

Alert | | The worst, at least in our neighborhood, are the investor houses. They don't care, but you think they would want to sell the house. The guy next door to me lives in California - or at least that is what his license plate reveals the three times he has been there.

I have read and understood the posting on this thread and have nothing to add.
| | Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem. ______________________________________ *************************************** San Diego Super Chargers! GO!!! Joined old forum March 2006 Post count: 3068 + these | |

Alert | Isn't it the responsibility of the HOA to take care of the community - fine these slackers and then use the money to cleanup the weeds ?
What are they using the fine money for if they do not clear the weeds of these investment propoerties - why not get collection agencies to bite these slackers ?

Alert | | I think the reason for all the weeds is the empty houses. There were several houses with weeds at least three feet high! I live in MM and our yard is kept weeded but the houses that are empty, which is most of them on our block any way, are chocked with weeds. It's like a ghost town here.

HOA do we have one of them, I thought I was just paying protection money. You know kinda like the mob, pay up or we will come after you. But don't expect us to do anything to help you.

Alert | | Well said - like the Mob - now that you say it - seems that way..... Is somebody from the MM HOA on this forum reading this ? They better be because I hear that they disabled the forum on their own website.
