I am looking for a new digital camera. I am not a professional photographer by any means or heck even and armature one. I do however want a nice camera that can take crystal clear shots both indoors and out. I want something semi compact but not so small I cant hold on to it.

I have been looking online and I have to admit I am VERY overwhelmed with everything.

Any help?

I like Nikon's. I just bought one at Best Buy during a sale for $179. It is a Cool Pix L12 w/ 7.1 megapixel. It's a great camera and takes beautiful pictures. I would suggest going to the Circuit City website and reading the camera reviews and then looking at the Best Buy website to see what kind of deals they have. That's usually what I do since Best Buy doesn't have a customer review section. I also got a camera case and a set of rechargeable batteries w/ a charger for $20 during the time that I bought mine. I also like the Epson Photomate to print pictures. You can only print 4x6 photos but they quality is as good or better than what you would get from a lab. You can hook the camera up to the printer or you can just put the memory card in the printer and do it that way. The Nikon in very compatable with a Mac if you are a Mac user. Have fun!

Sarah, Pati and I picked up a Fuji S5700 from Ritz Camera.com a few weeks ago for $249. It's a 7.1 MP, has auto flash, a large view screen and a ton of other goodies. It's small enough to carry easilly but not so small you will lose it easilly.

Here's a link: http://www.ritzcamera.com/product/541245338.htm?bct=t1134

We love it and are getting some great pictures from it, both indoors and out, during night and day.

Just the good ol' boys,
Never meanin' no harm,
Beats all you've ever saw, been in trouble with the law since the day they was born.

Straight'nin' the curve,
Flat'nin' the hills.
Someday the moutain might get 'em, but the law never will.

Makin' their way,
The only way they know how,
That's just a little bit more than the law will allow.

Just good ol' boys,
Wouldn't change if they could,
Fightin' the system like a true modern day Robin Hood.

We love our new canon rebel. The ability to take several photos quickly without having to wait for it to wake up. I am really liking it.

Sarah, You might want to check this site before you make your decision. Steve wasn't very happy with the Nikon L-12.
