I have four 6 week old kittens that need a home. My male cat was adopted from the humane society and he was suppose to be neutered, to my surprise he was not and got my 7 month old cat pregnant.  Email to ergonzal99@hotmail.com for pictures. Thanks!

With all the dog fighting that has been seen in Maricopa think about how much training these dogs go through and also how many dog fights go unheard about...if you care about the well being of your kittens do not offer them for free. Free cats, kittens and dogs are used way too many times as "bait" animals.

Pretty sure if someone was gonna use em' as bait, and they made dog fighting a sport, they would pay for the cats too.

misslisa,
sounds like a pretty strong assumption you made. As a member of a specific agressive breed dog rescue here in AZ I have heard horror stories and seen first hand truly horrible incidents where these "free to good home" animals are used for these training purposes or even to get the crowd fired up at these illegal fights. A few of my members were involved in getting a very well know website, where you can sell things for free on, to put up a disclaimer when you are posting ads for "free" pets.

As for you thinking these people would pay for the cats or other animals to use as bait, most dog fights especially here in AZ are nothing more than your low income or wannabe ghetto urban people fighting very inexpensive inbreed dogs. So NO most people will not pay $20, $10 (the cost of a week of dog food) for these animals when they only paid $50-$100 (yes, there are much more expensive dogs in some fights) for their dog in the first place.

I was just trying to be informative but as always someone has to be contradictive.

I know your trying to be informative, and I wasn't saying that you weren't. I've heard of people here in AZ buying up litters of animals to use for that purpose. Especially in Downtown Phx where I used to live, where it is nasty and ghetto. Plus, I do agree with you as far as not giving them away for free. I wouldn't do it only because time and effort has been put into the animals, you should get some money back from it.

Sorry if I offended you, it wasn't my intention.

I don't know why I feel compelled to say something here...

However, Diesel....I felt that you were very defensive. I think all she was saying is that if people really wanted an animal for bait, they would still be willing to pay a small rehoming fee- so seller beware. The sad thing, is you both are in agreement...but you had to get nasty in your defense which I think is uncalled for.

I recently adopted out a puppy that wasn't a good fit for our family, I did charge her a re-homing fee...but after meeting her I would have been comfortable just giving her the dog. I think its important to be involved in the decision as to where your pets go- know who you're giving them to. (if you're going to give them away) Otherwise, charge an adoption fee high enough to deter the bad eggs. (Lisa's point exactly being that if someone needed bait, $10 wouldn't be much of a deterrent...)

just mho.

Can you be humble and judgemental at the same time? Especially after the posters have come to terms???

Just My Opinion (nothing humble about it)

What may I ask do you consider humble about my post???? Alan?

Apparently you have nothing better to do than analyze my post with all your copying and pasting and bolding, and underlining....seriously?

I was trying to make a point to Diesel that he/she (not sure which) didn't have to be so nasty in making a point, when they obviously were presenting two very valid points of view. I also had something to add to the conversation...which you didn't which makes your post rather pointless.

Also- you stated that the "posters had come to terms"

Did they really? Or did Lisa just explain what she meant...there was no response from Diesel to indicate that he/she agreed, disagreed or agreed to disagree. Anyway- not my argument to be had...don't really care either way. I stated my opinion, I'm sticking to it...I just wanted to say that they both had a point and add my personal experience. End of story...

as Lisa says... "kthanxbyewhatev."

Might be from where you closed with "Just mho", or did you know what that meant before you used it? If you hadn't closed with that I wouldn't have given it a second thought. Just thought it was funny.

I don't know if there were any terms to come too. I offered some advice, she thought my advice wasn't valid (I said don't offer them for free people could use thema as bait, she said if they were going to use them as bait they would buy them anyway). I then explained from a first person point of view what I have seen happen, she agreed and said she saw similar things. I didn't take any offense, I hope she didn't.

I didn't know I was being "Nasty"

maybe nasty wasnt the word to describe it...I used it for a lack of something better... it was your last sentence that upset me....thats all. I really just wanted to add my experience with my puppy...sounds like we were all in agreement in the first place, which was the health and safety of "giving away" animals.

You know, the sad part here is that everyone is off topic. What I would like to know is what kind of cats are they. What do the parents look like? What do the kittens look like? Are any pictures available? Are they available for viewing?

Yes, I agree it is off topic. All I was trying to do was find a home for the kitties. I have two left. I don't know how to upload the photos on here but I put them in the classified ads and if you email me I can send you the photos of the two remaining kittens. They are both calico. One is an all black calico and the other is just spotted with tan, black and white and her face is half white and half black. The mom is calico and the dad is a tuxedo cat. You could come see them, just send me an email...
