To you, what does it mean to have 'character'?

To be trustworthy, tolerant, forgiving and respectful of others...just to name a few. Strive to make your time on this planet a positive influence.

To go about your life with a sense of tact. Be yourself and try not to live life as a mere image or be a tool of societys status quo.

In my opinion it means "doing the right thing" even when no one is looking.

Overall quality or reputation as seen or judged by people in general.

That is how I feel about character.

Everyone has character. Whether it's good or bad is the issue.

Someone with good character, in my opinion, would be concerned about the welfare of others, consistent and therefore dependable, and willing to sacrifice self to serve.

Interesting question and responses... I'd say that first "to thine own self be true". It's easy to portray a character but it comes down to intent- do we behave in a way that we believe others expect or do we act based on our own morals and convictions. Everything you do- is it necessary, truthful and kind?

That about the best way to put it.. I'n glad you said it too, now I have another reason to like you besides your mesmerizing avatar

I also like this line from 'Wall Street' regarding character as well.

Bud... Bud I like you. Just remember something. Man looks in the abyss, there's nothing staring back at him. At that moment man finds his character. And that is what keeps him out of the abyss.

Great question.......I wonder how many people wrote the description on themselves, or someone that they believe has true character. Charater is something you earn, and can be male or female, requiring very little from others, yet respects the wishes and feelings of others, listens, and is not judgemental based on personal feelings.....this is good character!!!

Bad character is like...............oh well, you know who you are thinking about!!!

People trust people with good character..........

THINK POSITIVE....
