Caveman, must be one of the sore losers that bought a house in Maricopa.
Seriously, the only thing they really need to do to cut down on my commute is to extend I-10 three lanes to the Queen Creek exit. Three lanes on Maricopa really isn't going to do much, if anything to improve driving times. If there is a major accident, all 3 lanes are going to be shut down, just like the 2 were. I live 14 miles past the railroad tracks on 347, but I rarely use that crossing. Ralston is better, the trains move faster out there.
The easiest thing to do to cut down on traffic times is to keep gas at $4. Driving is a breeze these days. Thats a very short sited view. With home sales picking up here its only a matter of time until 347 is at capacity again. Especially in the winter with the snow birds finding newer, large, cheap winter homes here in maricopa. Does anyone know if the plans include exit ramps instead of traffic lights at the intersections? |
