Alright you ladies out there in the copa.  I need your help.  I want to get extensions, but I am alittle skeptical.  I know that it will not be cheap, but if someone out there could give me a ballpark figure I would really apprecitate it.  I was on their website and saw that it really depends on the consult, but before I waste the stylists time and mine it would be nice to go into this with some sort of idea of the cost.  I know my hubby would LOVE it if I had long beautiful hair again, (he was sssoooo mad at me when I cut it all off). I just don't want him to have a heart attack at the cost.

look into a local beauty college, Toni & Guy hair academy etc.
they are supervised and less expensive.

There is a lot of upkeep that has to be done. Consider not just the money but, do you want to invest that much time?

I was thinking exactly what you were, and had it priced at a couple of places. There is a HUGE range of options, from clip in for a day (which looks a lot better than it sounds!) to semi-permanent extensions (3-6 mo).

The most expensive part is getting quality hair. For the more permanent method, they were quoting me about $600 initially. The hair, in most cases, can be used over and over, so after the first time, the upkeep if you want to keep them would be $100-200.

I would suggest first at least looking at the clip in option, to see if it would accomplish what you're looking for. Sally's Beauty Supply carries them, both Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton have their own brand of them.

I'm pretty sure that Karla at Studio Charme also can help with the clip in option, and help you to understand how to use them to make it look good.

Hope that helps.

Karla is a Rock Star when it comes to hair extensions. She knows a variety of different ways to put them in plus she can tell you what hair will work best for you! I know because she has been doing my extensions for years. Trust me for the quality of service you get from her it is soooo worth the cost. Believe me most salons charge triple what she charges. I highly recommend Karla for any hair service but, as for extensions she is Queen!
