I just got my assesment charges from our HOA.  We've been paying cable charges of $47.10 a month.  Is this charge necessary since we are paying our cable company a monthly bill also.  This just seems like it is a waste of money each month that doesn't make any sense.  Can someone clarify this charge?

Your HOA covers the BASIC CABLE portion of your bill.  You are paying for service above and beyond BASIC CABLE.

I know its a ripoff, but thats the way it is.
