Is John McCain cheating on his wife today?

McCain admitted that he cheated on his first wife, Carol Shepp. He married "the other woman" and used her fathers beer business money to become a congressman.

Now, there are allegations that he allegedly cheated on his current wife, Cindy Lou, while flying on a corporate jet with a lobbyist. Her name is Vicki Iseman.

Is this what the Republican party stands for: beer and women?

Where do I register to vote?

This is actually kind of old news tiger.

FYI the New York times appologized for to Mr. Mc Cain for the sloppy journalism in that story when it ran almost two months ago.

Nice work

Really, where?

Sloppy journalism doesn't mean it's not true.

They discussed it on NPR and they printed it in a seperate editiorial

Just because two people were on a flight doesn't mean they are banging.

I could have been on a flight to Vegas with your MeeMaw but that doesn't mean I would hit it .

Once a cheater, always a cheater.

McCain cheated on his first wife. I guess "honor" and "death do us part" didn't mean too much after she was mangled in her car accident.

The only apology I found was a correction in the article saying that the Senate Ethics Committee "rebuked" not "reprimanded" three other Senators for improperly intervening in the Charles Keating Five affair.

Rex don't feel so bad.....
If I was single I would consider your MeeMaw

Incidently by the time McCain and his first wife divorced, they had been apart longer than they were together due to his imprisonment in Vietnam and deployment in the War.

He returned from Vietnam March 14, 1973. He divorced April 1980. And remarried May 17, 1980. After 5 years and 5 months captivity in Vietnam, he stayed with his wife 7 additional years.

They were together 7 more years after his 5 years of captivity. Sorry that your numbers are functionally deficient Mr. Magnum, private investigator. :-)

John McCain's first marriage began in 7/1965...He shipped out 12/1966....and was gone from his first wife until well after his release 03/14/73 (due to his need for medical attention and physical therapy). He flew 23 missions prior to his capture ....

Do you think after all that time apart, and allthey had both been through when they were reunited things were "wonderful".... Heck,  they were strangers to each other...be realistic.

They tried to keep it togehter and failed.

Granted, he did start a relationship in 1979 prior to his divorce from the first wife in 1980, and that is cheating. But a More understandable form of cheating than say for instance ....

Hhmmmmmmmm.... maybe being together daily with your spouse, living under the same roof through out your whole marriage... and publicly humiliating her while you are the president by messing with an intern at the White House ...on some occassions while your wife was home... Like, a democrat,  Bill Clinton did.

I do not condone cheating of any kind....but I think there are certain levels of cheating that are far more disgusting than others...and it certainly is not related to a specific political affiliation.....

So, does that mean William Jefferson Clinton's Sin was different from John Sidney McCain III's Sin? I thought there was no such thing as big Sin or little Sin. Sin is Sin.

Doesn't the Republican party tout family moral values? Do they do this by nominating a cheater who broke his sacred wedding vows?

John McCain and his first wife tried to keep it together and failed. Bill Clinton and Hillary tried to keep it together and succeeded, despite the morally superior Republicans that crucified the dude by exposing his lie to save his marriage and familys humiliation.

The only difference I see between John and Bill is that John was nominated by those who profess moral superiority. It's kind of like Al Gore touting Global Warming while at the same time having the highest electric bill on the block.

McCains and Clintons cheating is no different. I also agree, once a cheater, allows a cheater. Its sad when it doesn't suprise us anymore, its almost the norm for a politician to cheat on their wives, with other women and men. Although its an old story, it doesn't mean it never happened. Really sad.

Welfare's purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for its own existence.

Thank you, Reagan. We both agree.

I actually suspect that Monica raped Bill. Bill tried to fight her off but was unable to. I suspect that Linda Tripp also tried to rape Bill but he was able to pepper spray her and hit the panic button in the oval office bringing the secret service in to rescue her unwanted advances towards him.

I know lumping people together and taring them with the same brush is not really fair.  Having said that, I believe that the member's of Congress who have been totally faithful to their spouses are in a very small minority.  Once they get to Washington, the sense of power and the "above the rules" for everyone else mentallity always seems to kick-in.  It would not surprise me if McCain cheated on Cindy more than once.

It's not  only member's of Congress with this view, i.e., celbritys, rich people, persons in position of power in general.  That can be the ugly side of the human species.  Thank goodness there are a lot of good, honest, faithful, caring and contributing people out there too!

In the bigger picture of things, I don't think the NYTimes article was that bad.

The author likes country music, she's Jewish, and she comes from Manhattan. Manhattan is only 13.4 miles long by 2.3 miles wide. She probably spends most of her life on one city block with man-made mountains surrounding her. Most Maricopans get to see REAL mountains just by traveling the 16 miles to I-10. She probably lives in a noisy 300 sq ft apartment that cost her half a million dollars. That's slightly bigger than a Family Room in Maricopa.

If Maricopa needs more home buyers to bring the prices of the homes back up, her article is free advertising. An increase of home buyers would mean a decrease in supply of homes on the market, thus bringing the values back up.

In the bigger picture, I think her article helps Maricopa's housing market. However, if the people she interviewed deny saying what she reported, then yes, it is inaccurate, sloppy reporting.

post script: I do feel badly for anyone that loses their home to foreclosure. Moving into a new home is one of the best times of your life. Losing your home must be horrible.

Another REAL issue to discuss. You're kidding, right?

Hey Pepperdog, this thread is a month old. Where have you been? If the Republicans want to nominate a wife cheater, who dumps his wife after she's mangled in a car accident, then go for it. If they want to vote for someone who has strong moral and family values, then they should have nominated Romney or Huckabee. I don't think either of them were divorced.

Well Granny you have all the positive attitudes to correct the problems of the City of Maricopa.  I do not live in the city, but own investment homes, thus I still have no say so to a certain point.  The COH is a major concern since they have used their guidence from the evangelistic management seminar quoted by their web site concerning seeding and growth.  I have no problem with that except to involve church and state beyond the acceptible ways and procedures.  I asked Carl Dietrich 6 weeks  ago about the COH / CITY dea and he gave me the no committ answer.  Now the best part was he had a complete copy of council agenda that you and I must fight to obtain any access too.  Again you see how the power game is played in the City.   Just last week the confrontation between council members and Kelly Anderson was interesting.  It was already a done deal, because  he stated that he had already talked with applicants and decided who he wanted.  I know it was a basic decision, but he wanted to go around the normal procedures and ways, which the council questioned openly.   I think he was a little scared of one of the applicants with his impressive creditials.  85239.com is probably the best mode of commication within the community even though the powers to be have problems with it.
