Our corgi is almost 10 months old, by the time he was about 4 months old, he had his parvo vaccine 3 times one at about 6 weeks and then 2 more at about 4 weeks each.

now that he's 10 months, do we need to get any additional vaccines against the parvo or do we just need to wait and do it again when we go for his rabies in November?

read online that parvo is horrible this year and just want to make sure we dont' need to or we do need to do any additional shots for him.

thanks!

My understanding is that after the set of puppy shots are done they should receive the parvo/distemper every year. I have 3 dogs and thats what my past vets have told me. I would double check with your vet though.

If they told you at the last vaccine that it was good for a year then I would not worry, but I would call your vet to make sure

I did call his vet...his my first dog, so maybe im just a bit more cautious or paranoid with him, but when you hear about deadly diseases, i just wanted to make sure that he had what he needed. I called his vet's office, we go to maricopa wells and they said he was good and not to worry about having anything till november, so i am happy.

read on the news that parvo is the worst it's been in the state. is there a reason why some years parvo or even rabies seem to be OK and other years they seem horrible?
