In an interview with WABC in NY Ahmed Yousuf, Hamas' top political adviser, said "We like Mr. Obama, and we hope that he will win the election." He went on to voice support for Democrats.

Senator Obama has rejected the support of Hamas, but that does not change the fact that a terrorist organization like Hamas thinks that it will be better for them to have a Democrat in the White House.

How is reporting a fact a scare tactic? If you dispute my information, provide facts, go to the net and look up the interview. Hamas has stated that it wants Obama in the White House. An intelligent response would be to wonder why.

It is one thing for them to endorse him, which doesn't surprise me. Does anyone know if he has accepted campaign contributions from them? That would be more alarming than the endorsement.

Reagan,

Quite the opposite.  Obama served with Weathermen Terrorist William Ayers on the board of the Woods Fund of Chicago, which in 2001 gave a $40,000 grant to the Arab American Action Network (AAAN), a group co-founded by anti-Israel Columbia University professor Rhashid Khalidi. The fund gave AAAN a second grant of $35,000 in 2002. One of AAAN's projects was a Palestinian art exhibit on what Palestinians call the "Nakba," or the "catastrophe," of Israel's founding in 1948.  Read more at:

The way you are presenting this is more fear mongering. Bad people endorse candidates all the time but who cares? As long as the candidate does not reciprocate what is the point? I could say that a child molester endorses McCain. Does that mean that McCain supports child molesting?

I think Obama is about finished. Gear up for McCain versus Hillary. There are too many questions about those that Obama surrounds himself with. It calls into questions his character, and the character of a leader. From Hamas and there supporters, the Rev., the guy that helps Obama buy his house... Not that I am happy about Clinton or McCain, Clinton is just a way better liar, and how cares about McCain until the Dems are done fighting.

Side note: Is Rev. Wright the leader of the same "Black" Church that Rev. Jackson and Rev. Sharpton are the leaders of or is that a different "Black" Church???

Caveman .If  an organization of child molesters supported any candidate, I would try to find out what advantage they hoped to gain if that candidate won. I feel the same way when a terrorist group supports a candidate. It is a proper question to ask. Any group that supports a candidate does so for a reason. why is it fear mongering to ask what advantage does Hamas seen itself gaining from an Obama presidency? Casting aspersions on the question or questioner is just a tactic used to stop the discussion of a fact embarrassing to a candidate you may support.

A more effective response would have been to say something like this : Hamas does not understand Obama's position on terrorism or how united we are on terrorism. Obama rejected their support and would  be just as ant-terrorist as Clinton or McCain.

I think Jesse's church is the Salem Baptist Church.

Hastings, isn't it obvious? McCain has Christian Zionists supporting him (which he publically accepted).

Also, it seems to me that Democrats seem to have better results in the middle east peace front then Republicans.

Oh boy...

It's the "Osama Bin Laden Supports John Kerry" horsecrap again..

I couldn't care less who outside entities support... to care about that would insinuate that they would somehow have an influence on policy.. and to go that route would be ridiculous and retarded... and to even begin to believe that, only shows the lack of using common sense and a thought process above a 3rd grade level...

in other words.. another retarded thread started on the premis of berating a Presidential candidate based on information a grade-schooler could see through...

Seriously.. if this is a sample of what Americans actually use to decide a leader.. we are doomed to become the "United States of Mindless, Spoon-fed, Idiots"

Of course, because Democrats will let them get away with a lot more. I would support Obama if I were a terrorist, too; he will most likely not do anything, in an attempt at world peace. I don't really like McCain either, but I think any candidate that scares or threatens the terrorists is preferrable to one the terrorists actually like.

And I thought I was the "dunce" when it came to politics?

Terrorists are going to keep doing what they do. Allah doesn't tell them to stop when America has a better president.

Yep!!! I am with Shane on this one!

Anyone stupid enough to allow themselves to be manipulated by a POS terrorist organization should be stripped of his/her right to vote!

Afterall how many third graders do you see casting their vote at the polls?

Caveman - President Carter?  Review what he has done in recent months. Also, in recent decades many Democrats have been more apt to view the US and its allies as being at fault rather than our opponents. Even those Dems who do not see us as the problem are more likely to wimp out in any confrontation. So it is not surprising that our opponents would rather deal with a Dem President than a Rep one. You might wish to make a case for giving in to our opponents in hope that they will leave us alone. Before you do that review the history of Europe in the 1930s. You will see how that tactic served Britain and France when dealing with Germany.

It is a shame that you have turned what I had hoped to be a stimulating discussion of foriegn policy and the differences between the parties into an opportunity to insult those who disagree with you. I can only wish that you had decided to debate rather than insult. I happen to have an MA in history so I think that your description of retarded, 3rd grade thought process, and mindless, spoon fed idiot, rather missed the mark.

Perhaps we should start a thread just for those who wish to insult rather than inform and score cheap shots rather than score points in an inteligent debate. In that way the rest of us could have an inteligent discussion without the chaff.

I thought "inteligent" was spelled, "intelligent", with two letter "L"'s.
