Alert | I recieved my letter and saw on it that cars should be parked in your garage and any left over space (if any) can be used to store materials. What is up with that? When did the rule change about parking in the driveway? the letter even says we can park in the street if we have the garage and driveway full of cars. I dont have the rules in front of me but it did mention that no cars are to be parked in the streets, or your yard at any time. only in the drive way and in the garage. Did the rules change before we had any meetings about it? Someone let me know or ask at the meeting because i am unable to attend. Thank you, | | Money isn't everything. Alert | Yeah I saw that too when I received the newsletter yesterday. Whats wrong with parking on the street...assuming its for special events. Saying that no cars are to be parked on the street at anytime is ridiculous. Ex) My wife just had her bridal shower last Sat and where else is everyone going to park?
However, nobody is going to tell me what I can and cannot put in my garage. I'll park my cars on my driveway when I please. I have two words.....Bite ME!!! lol. Not literally. What are they going to do...come and Subpoena me to look in my garage and see if I could fit a car in there. Good luck with that one. If its on my driveway its my business. Just my 2 cents. It's a stupid rule.

Alert | Well i do agree that cars should not be parked on the street on a permanent basis.
when guests come over or relative staying for a week or 2 the street should be fine. They just dont want people parking broken down cars in the street or in the yard. Also to prevent having everyone park in the street and leave little room to navigate the narrow streets. I know when i had someone parked accross the street from my driveway, it was hard for me to get out. I just wanted to know the reason why it changed to parking in garage. i have no room to stuff things other than in my garage. Unfortunately a car wont fit in there. | | Money isn't everything. Alert | Yup I agree. Cars should not be left on the street for a long period of time. Looks bad and isn't safe with such small streets. Can't imagine why they care about the driveway though. I live on a 50x100 lot. I need to utilize every bit of space I have

Alert | I don't think anybody is complaining about people parking in the driveway. People are complaining about people parking in the streets - which can be dangerous for numerous reasons.
If you have 2 cars and your garage is full of stuff, then park on the driveway. No one should complain.
If you have a 2 car garage and have 3 cars and your garage is full of stuff so you park on the street, that is against HOA policy. Clean out a spot for your 3rd car to fit in the garage so you don't have to park in the street.
If you have a 2 car garage and you have 5 cars in your household, then parking on the street is probably acceptable because you can't fit all of your cars in your garage and driveway.

Alert | | There are a lot of people on our block that have garages full of stuff and park their cars in their driveway. As long as they aren't in the street or in the yard, I guess I don't understand why anyone would care. | | Yes, that's really my name

anyways. i still wanna know who is in charge of putting out this newsletter and who wrote that stupid bit about the garages. | | Money isn't everything. Everyone just thinks it is...

Alert | There are several three car garages on the Wildflower side of Senita. Ogden is "in charge" of distributing the newsletter. Kriss wrote this one up, the Board reviewed and edited it, and the Board gave the final approval. And the message of the cars in the garage should alos not be a suprise. It is written into the CC&R's that everyone recieved and agreed to, prior to purchasing theit home. CCR 3.19 Garages and Driveway: Garages may be used for the storage of materials so long as the storage of material allows sufficient space for the parking of at least two (2) motor vehicles. -Graham

Alert | So i dont remember reading that. It may have been an older copy that i recieved or i just missed that portion of the rules.
How big of an issue is this for me to just park in my driveway. is there gonna be any notices for me to stuff my cars in the garage? or will there be fines? how will this be policed to make sure people have room in the garage for 2 cars.
IS this something they will be enforcing or is it basically what 'trio junior" said about parking in the garage first before the street. | | Money isn't everything. Everyone just thinks it is...

I'm not coming down on anyone. I hardly believe that more than maybe 3 people have actually sat down and read the CC and R's cover to cover. But, if someone raises an issue, and people question the validity, I try to clarify and refer people to the source
IS this something they will be enforcing
I have heard no complaints about this yet. However, I think if you have a garage full of stuff, fail to use your garage, or you own 4 vehicles, and most of them are parked on the street, then it is an issue that can be addressed. If you read the verbage, most CC&R's are written specifically to control excessive or abusive behavior.

Alert | I don't think anyone will be hit with a citation for parking on their driveway unless they consistantly have cars parked on the street. I read the CC'R cover to cover Ok...maybe not.

Alert | | Just wondering if it is just my neighborhood or if it is everywhere but have you guys noticed multiple families living in one house? I think there is 4 houses like that on my street and with that comes all of their cars and work vehicles and trailers in the street at all times. Was this the trend, Maricopa has affordable housing... let's all pitch in and get one? Don't they call our houses "single family homes?"

Alert | I don't think anyone is going to complain about your garage being full of stuff as long as you're not parking in the street. If you park in the street because your garage is full of stuff - then there is a problem. There shouldn't be any fines sent to people for parking in their driveway.
I wouldn't want a household of 4 families living near me, but there really isn't anything anyone can do about that? At least not that I know of.
There has never been a revision to the CC&R's so there is no such thing as an old or new copy.

Alert | | We are going to be moving to Senita in the next few weeks. And it's me and my husband. But My brother and his wife will be coming with their 2 kids. We don't have any kids and just bought a four bedroom house so it works out. We will have 4 vehicles but none of them will be parked on the street. I don't see anything wrong with them living with us or why it should affect anyone else. We are helping them out for a little while. The home they were renting in queen creek is being foreclosed on. And ultimately, they will be buying a home eventually in Maricopa. So if people are introducing more people to maricopa who are waiting until they have the means to buy property out there, then isn't that a good thing? But I guess the issue really is people parking on the street. | | Katie

Alert | I say bring em down. If they'd like to buy we'd love to have'em. Don't worry about Tio. He's just mixed up from all that head bangin. I hope you enjoy Maricopa as much as we do. You'll be fine parking on the driveway. Good luck with you move in.

Alert | | There is a big difference between 2 families sharing a home and 4 families sharing a home. I understand 2 families sharing a home and I see nothing wrong with that. I think it is very nice to help out your family.
