Ok, we have neighbors who have a pool. They are not going to "open" it until June, in other words, they are not running the filtration system and they have no cover for it. We can not sit in our own back yard because we will be eaten alive by the out of control mosquito population!

We even have them in the house and I can't see spraying my kids with bug-off every day just to avoid west nile and maleria (sp)! So, what do we do about this? I mean from our balcony you can see the swarm just hovering above their pool. Isn't this some sort of health hazard? Besides, Maricopa has a big enough mosquito problem!!

Your neighbors defiantly need to be reported. You see this every year on the news. That is a large fine for not keeping your pool clean. I think people are taking this “Going Green” thing to literally.

Are you ready for some football?

If you are in an HOA, your association may also have a CC&R violation that they can slap on your neighbors. Definately call, as just because your neighbors are lazy (an yes, that is what they are), they cannot endamger others. It was their choice to buy a home with a pool, it is their legal obligation to keep it maintained to a point it is not endangering the ngihborhood.
