Well this morning i decided to give the ole Maricopa Max bus a try. My initial impressions are EXTREMELY positive. The $6 round trip into downtown Phoenix is a steal. The bus is a nice cruise liner, not a dumpy Valley Metro bus. The trip was as quick as it could be, and it was nice to speed by all of the cars on I-10 as opposed to being in one of those cars. The bus was half full, but to be honest I am not surprised given the fact this is a relatively new service with hardly any advertising. It was a bit of a trick to find the Park and Ride. maybe if they had a sign on 347 it would be easier. I think as gas continues to rise, this service will pick up. The wear and tear on my vehicle alone makes this service very attractive. Because of the nature of my work I can't ride it all of the time, but when I can I will, everytime.
