...my God can u PLEASE re-teach people how to use it? I mean everyday impatient fools ride the 347 and then cut over into the dual-turning lane before jumping onto the 10 fwy. It was bad when we had one lane, but now all h*ll has broken loose by adding an addt'l lane so more fools think its easier to cut everyone off to cheat and get over to get on the express-way! Even had the women attempt to cut me off in front of me this morning and since I didnt subject myself to her erratic behavior, she flips me off...LOL! what an idiot...

bottom line...you know the left hand turning lane is coming up, stay in the left lane and proceed the RIGHT way to the dual turning lanes! your actually NOT getting anywhere any quicker!

I noticed that too. For those of us that dont cut people off, maybe we all need to all just go straight into the lane that is the right turn lane to turn left onto I-10 so that none of the cutters that whip in last minute can. Maybe they will start to learn it doesnt pay. Force them to go straight, that is what I normally do. I dont let them in last minute by speeding up and slowing down. They will learn eventually when they have to go straight then do a U turn just to get going the right direction again. LOL If you do this cutting it may only save you a minute. I have never waited too long in the line to turn left onto I-10.

What good does the second turn lane make when there is only one lane feeding them. The only people that need to be trained on how to use the turning lanes are darin45 and NateK1975. If you are in the left most lane before the first light then you need to move over to the left after the first light. The way you two see it makes no sense at all. The reason you never have to wait to long is because of those of us that know how to use the new lane.

sysadmin, you do know that SOLID WHITE lines on the road mean NO changing lanes as it is where you all cut over the white lines. If they made them into Dashed big white lines I would be more than happy to let you in. SO I do know how to drive and have no tickets or accident in my 18 years of driving to show for it. SO I would like to see your record. Probably not too good. Probably agressive driving tickets and Illegal lane changes tickets huh? Yup Thought so.

LOL It is all in good fun. This is never serious stuff on here. People like to just see reactions of people out there. Have fun blogging.

I completely agree with sysadmin and no, solid white lines DO NOT mean no changing lanes. Dual solid white lines (as you see on 60 westbound approaching I-10 between the carpool lane and the left most general lane) mean no lane changes.

The smoothest flow comes when those two left turn lanes are fed by two lanes prior to the light. Yes, I do get there quicker by not contributing to a long line in the left lane.

Jason, Maybe you should review the AZDOT drivers License Manual. Above link on page 42 of the manual it shows the exact situation we are speaking of. Solid White lines are to prevent lane changes at these intersections. Wish I could put the picture they show on here, but it would not copy over.

I also noticed the situation you speak of...It does say that it is prohibited to cross a double white line as well. My situation says it is to prevent the lane changes not prohibit. So I concede. You were right and I was correct in what I was thinking as well.

Natek1975, only 18 years of driving? Try 30 years with no tickets or accidents. So if every one uses the lanes the way you think then adding the second turning lane was a waste of time and money.

sysadmin, I understand. LIke I said in on eof the above mentioned posts. IT IS ALL FOR FUN ANYWAY. I did post the rules of the road by the AZDOT DL manual. You all really do get worked up over things dont you all. You think anyone in their right mind would really want to stay in the right lane. I always move over. Just like to see your reactions. LOL Have fun Blogging

The driver's license manual is not the law and is conflicting in a few instances and this is one of them. The wording in the manual is "prevent" but the actual law is "discourage". Kinda weird, but you shouldn't get a ticket for crossing that line unless you cut someone off.

Jason and Sysadmin-
You two have the same backwards thinking that all the others have that cut into the lane...you can do what you want but I will not let you in. There are prinicples to drive and sharing the road what the heck you guys are doing is flat out rude...I see more and more people speeding up not to let people over and rightfully so. the left turning lane is there for a reason. if it was a "free for all" there would NOT be the far left lane. I do agree tho that AZDOT SHOULD have a dual turning lane extended further back, but that wouldnt help cuz jack___'s would STILL go around and try in cut in front of people! So its a losing cause.

..when I'm driving to get to the 10 and you dcide to cut infront of me...good luck! your gonna have to continue to QC road and turn around in the dirt! LOL!

What's more fun is speeding up to look like you are going to cut in.  Play the cat and mouse game while the driver in the turn lane gets so pissed and then you keep driving straight.  On purpose of course cause you weren't getting on the freeway in the first place.

But one more thing....you have to wave as you go straight that way they know you were playing the game on them instead.

It's not rude to use the full road capacity. It's rude to force others to follow laws that don't exist. It doesn't hurt to move into a perfectly empty lane, but it is rude to hog two lanes like you're doing. How would you like it if I drove down both lanes on 347 and blocked anyone from passing me? I mean, after all, anyone going faster is cutting in line too, right?

Signs to know your a fool:

1) While stopped at the light, you have to gun it to get in front of someone in the correct lane!
2) You give someone the finger cuz they will not let u cut them off!
3) You have to slam your brakes to get behind someone who is in the CORRECT lane!

if you do ANY 1 or combinations of the 3...you need help!

You all are unbelieveable. Darin45 and NateK1975..I agree 100%. I never get on the 10 freeway at QC/347 due to all the rude drivers. And yes, YOU ARE RUDE AND RECKLESS. Why is it that you can not wait in line like everyone else? It's kind of ironic how we teach our kids to wait their turn and be respectful of others but yet once you get behind the wheel you cut people off, are disrespectful, and when YOU break the rules of the road flip off us law abiding citizens!! Does not make any kind of sense to me. You people think you are helping with the flow of traffic when in fact you are slowing down the people who do go straight. Just wait your turn to turn left. It is safer that way.

They need to install those giant bumps so that if you try to drive over them it rattles the heck out of your car. The way that they installed the lanes, really did not stop the "cutters"

Sorry...thats just how they have their name on their website, but we all know what I meant....

BTW- Got a kick out of this idiot who tried to "gun" it in his early 80's white Dodge Omni this morning!   I'm surprised the engine didnt fall out of the engine bay and of course, I blocked him from getting over..LOL!
