We are recieveing alot of Parvo patients and I just wanted to go over some things. Vaccinate your puppys and dogs. Do not let puppys outside until full vaccinated. Only allow them in your back yard. The front can be contaminated. Even walking through places like petsmart can cause harm for your unvaccinated puppys. Remember that one vaccine dose not prevent illness you will need to get your pet boostered. If your pets have vomiting or diarrhea get them to a vet ASAP the quicker it is treated the better the outcome maybe. If anyone has any questions PM me!! Take care everyone.

I have a question; if a dog had their Parvo shot a year and a half ago, could they still get it? Our dog has been sick since Wednesday and still won't eat. She's drinking water, no problem there. Plus, she seems to have gone into heat at the same time. Is there a dog flu also going around?

No there is no dog flu however they can still get parvo however if your pet is older not as likely. We would worry more about infection in the uterus, females can have problems and she may need to be seen ASAP because it will usually get worse if that is the case. I would just have her checked out to rule out any illness. The longer you wait the worse it can get! Good luck and keep me posted.
