Hello Everyone in MM, We at H&N wanted to let everyone know what is going on with the grass in the community. As you all know, Maricopa Meadows did not overseed during the winter months. As the season has started, we have faced a few challenges with the grass in the community. For the last couple of months, an electrical contractor had been installing lights throughout the community. the lights required major trenching and groundwork that broke many main sprinkler lines and forced the shut down of the complete irrigation system. We have been working tediously to clean out all of the fouled and mud filled sprinkler heads throughout the 54 acres of irrigaton system. We are getting closer to the system being close to 100%. It takes quite a bit of manpower to handle this. So, now about watering the "dirt" we have just recently got the system running and are now able to get the areas to start greening up. Bermuda grass that is throughout the community is not a grass that can be killed. It will regenerate itself. It is basically a weed that spreads. We know that it looks bad and fortunately we now have the ability to get working on making it to make it look great. We are staring an aeration process, gypsum treatment as well as a fetilization that will make the grass multiply at far greater rate. You should already notice that some ares that we first worked on are starting to come around. We are sure that with the effort and treatments that we are doing that the turf should look great in a matter of a couple of weeks or so. Thats not to say that there will not be problem areas that will take longer to regenerate. Rest assured that we are doing everything in our power to get the community looking great. All of our focus is on the grass at Maricopa Meadows right now. Also, if you didn't know. With having three schools throughout the neighborhood. We have watched many students when either coming to school or leaving school vandalizize or destroy the sprinkler heads. We have had to replace on average 20 to 30 per week due to vandalism. We would appreciate anyones help to get people to stop this behavior. While we try to do what we can to keep your costs down, this vandalism is a complete waste of community money. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via email: hn_tim@cox.net or call our office at 480-855-5296. We are located in Maricopa and are only a couple of miles away. And as always come to the HOA meetings. We are always there and are always willing to answer any questions or concerns. Thank you, H&N Landscape |
