Yes, they always have been - or at least should have been. If you see a garbage or recycling receptacle out on an off day (Tue., Wed., Fri., Sat. or Sun.), take a picture and e-mail it to krissl@ogdenre.com and give him the address and day it happened. Receptacles can be put out the evening before, so Sunday and Wednesday evenings are okay. Kriss will send out a violation.

By the way, I would like to add on that we have people using BLANKETS for curtains (bedroom and living room windows).

I've notified Kriss already, maybe another reminder is needed.

How about when they put the trash cans by the front door?

In reference to the blankets or sheets on windows - take a picture and send it to Kriss again. Keep doing it every couple of weeks and I would assume fines would be more expensive than new curtains.

Question. How do we prove Ogden is doing anything? Do we have the right to ask for proof that letters are being sent? Anyone know how often Ogden "drives the neighborhood" and checks on it? I mean they are from Scottsdale and something tells me they aren't coming out daily

Ogden (Kriss) drives the neighborhood every 10 days. Ask some of your neighbors if they have ever gotten a violation letter. I know lots of people who get them - so I know violation letters are being sent out. If you want to test the system, put blankets on your front windows and see how long it takes to get a violation letter.

Question. You stated he comes out every 10 days.. Has he told you this? It seems like good info but I did ask a neighbor about a letter when I asked him if I could spray the weeds in his front yard, rather then have to look at them, and he said no one has bothered him about the weeds. The weeds were very appearent as well (5-10 of them were over a foot tall). Have your neighbors gotten letters? If so that would make me feel better that at least my $60+ a month is not going for my trash pick up and grass mowing only...

Yes he has told me this and has said it at public HOA meetings. I also e-mail violations with pictures and he replies back saying he is going to send out a violation. I have no reason to believe he is not sending them out. I have about 8 neighbors that seem to love complaining to me about all the violation letters they get - so I know violations are sent. Could Kriss miss some violations? I'm sure he does but hopefully he gets most of them.

You asked your neighbor to spray his weeds? That is funny. You should have told him to spray them or pick them. If your neighbor hasn't gotten a violation, take a picture of his front yard (with address) and e-mail it to Kriss and Kriss will send out a violation.

Just think - your $62/mo HOA fee also gets you basic cable and green common areas.

The green common area are nice and at least there is no Parvo. The cable well.... if my internet didn't give me so many struggles with orbitel it would be great... So my thoughts on them at the moment are not top notch :-)
