Ive heard about "insecticidal soaps" being used for white flies and ive also heard people mention that they make their own "brew" to get rid of these little pests...what does everyone use and where did you get it or how did you make it if you brew your own? thanks!

The easiest and safest is dish soap and water. It sticks to their wings, and they can't fly. They can't fly, and they die. But remember they hang out UNDER the leaves. So you need to lift the branches of the plants and spary simoultaneously

they are attracted to the color yellow and you can buy yellow sticky strips to take care of them.

They love lantanna... 1 part dish soap to 2 parts water....( I use Palmolive dish soap) or Ace carries a product (non toxic) made by Safer ... You need to spray the plants every few days.

do you spray and then wash the plants off after a bit or just leave them be?

No just leave the soap on them..no need to wash it off...you'll never be rid of them for good so keep spraying the plants at least three times a week...
