Just wanted to write and say how very happy I was with the new Happy Tails groomer out here in Maricopa, located at the big red barn by the RR tracks.  I have always had the same groomer for many years because my terrier Trouble is... A LOT OF TROUBLE TO CLIP!    Anyway, I ran into a situation where I had to go out of town asap and needed to take her with me.  Her coat was raggedy from the winter and from wearing sweaters so I and needed my hard-to-clip old lady to be groomed asap.  I have been turned down by so many people before (without even meeting Trouble) because I told them she gets nervous and sometimes will try to bite.  She was a rescue dog and was previously abused so she just needs someone understanding and patient to make her feel comfortable.  Because of this issue, I never ventured off from my Chandler groomer but needed to take a chance this time!  I spent almost an hour talking to the groomer and explained my situation and my dog's special needs.  Instead of dismissing my dog without even meeting her or giving her a chance, she proclaimed that she "likes to work with these kind of dogs so she can build their trust".

So I took a chance and had Trouble groomed.  When I came back, she was not shaking like a leaf on a tree like she usually does.  She was calm, but happy to see me and looked beautiful!!  So, just wanted to take a minute and share my story, as I know other people out there have hard-to-clip dogs as well.  This groomer was gentle, and compassionate.  She did a wonderful juob and I just wanted to say kudos to Happy Tails!  I told her I would recommend them by word of mouth, seeing that they are not yet advertising.  I know I have found my new groomer!!

Starfish,

I am so glad to hear you were so happy with Rebecca at Happy Tails; I use to work with her at a shop in Phoenix and I always thought she was very good with the dogs and a good groomer to boot!  I was real pleased to see her open her own shop out here in Maricopa, I think she will be very successful.

I agree...Rebecca is awesome!  She did a great job with Mr. Muttus Americanus <-------

I'll definitely be using her regularly.  Kojak adds two paws up and a WOOF!

<---Look, Ma! I sit, I stay, I match the carpet!

I used Rebecca for all four of my dogs when she first opened and one of my dogs is older and has had bad experiences with groomers. While Rebecca was working with my problem dog Barbary she seemed to listen to her and they got along wonderfully and Rebecca said by the end she just let Barbary off the leash and she stood great for her once she was not forced. I have not EVER had anyone that listened to what the dog wanted before.

Thank you Rebecca from Shawna at Maricopa Hair Care
