Does anyone have any info on this newsletter?

I was wondering if the HOA board could/would partner with this newsletter to keep us abreast. I know I skim threw it and then throw it away, but I think it would eleminate the communication problem and the no posting of mailboxes.

The Senita Sentinel is a monthly newsletter put out by a realtor by the name of Larry Ackerman that lives here in Senita. Larry's a really good guy and would probably be open to helping out the HOA. I think we (the HOA) briefly mentioned the Senita Sentinel in a conversation as a means to get the word out about HOA meetings, but I don't think we ever came to a conclusion on the topic. Maybe at the next HOA meeting, we can discuss it further.

I'm pretty sure the HOA is going to start posting the HOA meetings time and date on A-frames at the 4 different entrances to Senita a few days before every meeting. The next 2 HOA meetings were posted on the newsletter that you should have received at the end of last month/ beginning of this month.

A frames are a good idea but please no longer than a week, people drive so fast through here do you think they'll read it?

Yeah, I think people will read them. Whenever I drive through VRED, I always find myself reading all of their A-frame signs, so hopefully other people pay attention too. Our main concern is kids kicking them over. I doubt we will have them up for an entire week. Probably more like 4 days. Plus, we will have them up at entrances / exits - hopefully where people are slowing down and will have the opportunity to read them without seeing a blur as they race by.

I sent Mr Ackerman a note on his web site just the other day requesting that he have his delivery people use just a little bit of common sense when they litter our homes with his newsletter. I can't stop you from hanging crap on my garage door. But please don't hang stuff on obviously abandoned homes. This is just an invite for criminals to break in and vandalize.
He must be a very busy realtor as I have not gotten any response yet. LOL

Larry delivers the newsletters himself. Next time I see him, I will tell him to pay closer attention to homes that are obviously unoccupied.
