To all homeowners,

I would like to thank all the folks who came out and enjoyed our Spring in the Park event.  We had a great time and it was very nice seeing all of you.

For those volunteers who took time to assist me in making this a great event my gratitude is extended.

On another note I know alot of you are wondering about the weeds in the common areas as well as homes that have weeds that are very tall.  Please know that we have been in touch with the landscaping company and they are working on the common areas.  We appreciate everyones input and understand your frustration.  Thank you for your patience.

When it comes to the private homes with weeds very tall, please know that the homes that are out of control are foreclosures.  We are working with the banks to get the weeds taken care of.  In the meantime so that we are not spending Association Funds I have taken it on myself to go to some of the homes and spray for weeds and I do pick the weeds as well.  Frankly I am a one man show and if there are any volunteers that would like to spend a couple of hours helping me remove weeds from foreclosed homes I would greatly appreciate it.  Please pm me and I will get back with you.  Or email me at stevesherri@orbitelcom.com

The homes that are occupied, folks do get reported to the Code Compliance City official and they have been helpful in letting the people know to clean up their yards.  I know that it seems like it isnt getting done fast enough but I promise you that I will as well as the rest of the board keep on this issue until we can resolve it.

Well that is all I have.  Thanks again to my Spring in the Park volunteers and all their hard work.

Thank you to all the homeowners who live here and thank you for taking pride in your homes.

We have another board meeting coming up On May 12 630pm Santa Rosa school in RED.

Sincerely

Sherri Roeder

What is the City Code for residents of Acacia Crossings that addresses weed removal?  In our front yards, and on community property?  I know that our CC&Rs address this, but am unaware of any City Code or Ordinances that address that problem.

All cities have some sort of City Code that states front yards are landscaped and free of trash and weeds. Also there are codes that regulate parking on the property. That there can not be any bare dirt in the front yard. Most of what an HOA has in its CCR's are covered by City Codes it is that the cities don't take the time to enforce the codes or they don't have the resources to spend the time driving around issuing tickets.

Im curious about the weeds also. If I get a notice for the couple of small weeds I had growing in my yard, who do I send a notice to for all the weeds in the rocks in the common areas? Seriously? Fair is fair right? The weeds in the rocks just off of Costa Brava & 347 are rediculous. I'd be embarrassed if my yard looked like that.

Im the one speeding on the 347, move over or get run over!
