03/07/2008 3:04 PM Alert

We just had our backyard installed by AUL and we're very happy with the final product.  Before we started we obtained 3 quotes and all but one of them was competitive.  We chose AUL based on their reputation and previous work we had seen.

We had some major issues with communication when starting the project but AUL was able to resolve them.  We also had some issues with workmanship which AUL resolved to our satisfaction as well.

Our backyard basically consists of two flagstone pads (one with a fire pit), granite rock, boulders, and some plants.  We went with them to choose the plants best suited for us.  We tend to kill every plant we touch so we went with low maintenance stuff.  We also got a saguaro which we're hoping will have some arms in about 200 years.

To finish the whole thing off we just need to buy a grill for the other flagstone pad.  We found one we like at Sam's Club but just need a truck!  RJ, are you heading up to Sam's club anytime soon with that big ol' beast of a truck?  Anyone with a big ol' truck going to Sam's club tomorrow?  We also need to buy some firewood but might be able to pile that in the back of our car.

AUL did my back yard also. We are very happly with it except for the weeds, lol.

A year later, I still call Robert & RJ about my irrigation system settings. They are more than happy to stop by and fix the messes I have created with the times. Great follow through!

Thx Guys1

not bad, curious how much that cost?

Thanks everyone! We're looking forward to spending a lot of time in the yard before it gets too hot.

rikimaru, I'd rather not say how much it cost on the forum because you can't really see everything that's included and it's not a fair representation. The saguaro is usually pretty pricey and we have some citrus trees you can't see, concrete pad, etc. However, AUL worked with us to match competitor quotes and we believe we got a good price.
