none of my 3 trees (2 arizona ash, 1 chinese pistache) have shown no signs of waking up from the winter. not a single bud on them. even the tiniest brances still have some bend in them (as opposed to dead and snapping off). We've been deep watering every 3 or 4 days for the last month. the CP has been planted for just over 2 years. the AA's have been in for just under a year. HELP!

im definitely no expert...but to me it sounds like youre watering too much for this time of year...especially if youve been doing it for the past month which was back into some of the colder weather time as well....my three trees...2 sissoo's and one sweet acacia all look great...both sissoo's have a lot of new leaves already opened up and my sweet acacia is getting ready to bloom and make the yard smell nice....my neighbor has a couple of chinese pistachios that arent doing to well apparently either...hope you figure your tree situation out

An easy test is to go and scratch the trunk of the tree with a key or coin. Upon doing so if there is any green/yellowish color under the bark your tree is still alive, if it appears dry and hard/brownish that is not a good sign. Good luck

That is great news, lets give them some time, reduuce the watering if you have not done so already. Straving the plant or tree will sometime speed up the blooming process, which in your case would be buds. We have to be patient, let nature take its course.
