Alert | In my eye, it doesn't matter if Obama was black, white, red or yellow. It was the 2004 keynote address that he gave at the Democratic Convention that put him on the map, and he rode that wave into being elected US Senator, and eventually US President. This quote sticks with me, because it what should matter in politics:
The pundits like to slice-and-dice our country into red states and blue states; Red States for Republicans, Blue States for Democrats. But I've got news for them, too. We worship an awesome God in the Blue States, and we don't like federal agents poking around in our libraries in the Red States. We coach Little League in the Blue States and, yes, we've got some gay friends in the Red States. There are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq and patriots who supported the war in Iraq. We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America. | | Call Pinal County Elections to register to vote by mail. We need our citizens to show up to vote!
Don't forget to vote on May 20!

Alert | According to Obama and the national media, anyone who mentions Obama and black in the same sentence is an automatic racist. The Obama campaign brought the story to the attention of the national media. He is the one playing the race card to get black votes.

He is on record as the most partisan Democratic Senator in the Senate. He has a 97% liberal rating (based on votes in the Senate). He has never joined one of the efforts to get bipartisan legislation passed. We need to pay attention to what politicians do, not what they say.

Alert | | Why can't we call him a white man? He's just as much white as he is black. 50/50. He DOES like being able to bring race in to this so he can be the minority. | | Despite All My Rage I Am Still Just A Rat In A Cage

Do I dare to open up this historical can of worms and risk being called a racist just for mentioning historical facts? Lets go for it! America traditionally used the one drop rule. One drop of black blood and you were considered to be black. Silly, I know (as if one drop of ink in a gallon milk turns the milk into ink), but there it is. In the bad old days there were even names for various percentages of blackness. A half-white, half-black person (Obama?) was a mulatto, one-quarter black and you were a quadroon, and one-eighth blacks were octoroons. There were other names for various mixtures, and different regions used different names. All this just demonstrates how important racial identification has been in American history.

Alert | Anyone who thinks race is not a factor in the election is a complete fool. It is interesting the see the nasty side of this play itself out on the supposedly more open minded and non racist Democratic side. Look at some of the primaries where blacks have overwhelmingly voted Obama and whites favored Clinton. Of course gender is also at play with men favoring Obama and women favoring Clinton. Take a look at a recent poll:
Likely Dem Voters Nationwide Black: Obama 81% Clinton 7% White: Clinton 50% Obama 39%
Women: Clinton 51% Obama 40% Men: Obama 60% Clinton 28%
| | Liberalism and capitalism address themselves to the cool, well-balanced mind. They proceed by strict logic, eliminating any appeal to the emotions. Socialism, on the contrary, works on the emotions, tries to violate logical considerations by rousing a sense of personal interest and to stifle the voice of reason by awakening primitive instincts. -- Ludwig Von Mises | |

Alert | I would like to see that too, OBG. Problem is, I have a suspicion that Hillary will end up #2 on the ticket. If that's the case, we need to double Obama's Secret Service protection.

Alert | Given the affinity that Bubba shows toward non-whites as our "first black president", Obama should not let Bubba anywhere near Michelle based on his...Bubbas...pecadilloes in the past. I cannot imagine Bubba trash in the Blair House with nothing to do. Somehow the Clintons just dont seem vice presidential. | | What me worry?

Alert | I couldn't imagine Hillary as a VP. But, if she did take the job, Obama better live in his Kevlar vest. I could see Hillary getting all bitter after losing the nomination and endorsing McCain.

Alert | yep...after Vince Foster and all the people who were killed or whatever as a result of standing in Billary's way... Clinton as VP would be a death warrant for Obama. What I would like to know is why is he black when his mama is white? Below is a great link to the Billary campaign... http://www.michaelhodges.com/missing.html | | What me worry?
