Has anyone appealed their property tax value? Mine seems a little high and was wondering if anyone has successfully appealed thier value with the county assessor's office.
successful appeal:
I owned 20 acres in Hidden Valley and was living on a portion of it. They were taxing me at 16% for whole 20, whereas I appealed and that portion that I was living on was reduced to the proper tax rate of 10%.
Just cross out their assessment and write in your own.
Yeah...that'll work. I should try that on my mortgage payment.
