Has anyone heard of Kennesaw, GA?

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=55288

Sounds like a good idea to me.

yes, we've heard of it, this is an old story. The gun ownership isn't really "mandatory" but it does once again provide more evidence that crime rates go down when gun ownership rates go up.

Thanks,
Higgs

Liberalism and capitalism address themselves to the cool, well-balanced mind. They proceed by strict logic, eliminating any appeal to the emotions. Socialism, on the contrary, works on the emotions, tries to violate logical considerations by rousing a sense of personal interest and to stifle the voice of reason by awakening primitive instincts.

Kennesaw, Ga is where some stupid tweeker chick spent $1200 of my money 2 yrs ago with a fraudulent debit card. She went to Best Buy right before closing and bought 2 Garmin GPS systems and a bunch of prepaid cell phones. They aren't too smart up there.

She got you didn't she? haha That does suck though. My moms identity got stolen. Then know not to spend over $1200 on them too because as long as its lower, they don't prosecute. It's so flawed

Mandatory gun ownership? Too many idiots to have mandatory gun ownership. Besides, your right to bear arms should include the right to not bear arms.

Agreed Jason.... I am just making a point that our government has no place taking them from us.... it does not decrease crime... it makes it easier for criminals to commit crimes.

Criminals will always have guns. No matter what dream world you continue to live in drummer, criminals will always have guns. Our government would have no constitutional basis for having the only armed Americans be law enforement.

Maybe it would work though..... I haven't ever heard of a dirty cop!!!

Caveman, it is probably under the future of Maricopa thread since this could be considered here in our town. Don't worry, they would probably allow you to keep the caveman club/bat in lieu of a gun.

Welfare's purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for its own existence.

I am a fan of:

Guns Don’t Kill People, People Kill People

I completely disagree with Drummer72 statement..

Crime rates also go down when NO ONE outside of law enforcement own guns.

First of all there well never be a county on this planet what will get all of there guns off the street. Some countries like Japan that have banned handguns still struggle with a black market. So the law abiding citizens that are left unarmed and the criminals have all the guns. Seems a bit unfair to me. I don’t think there are any statistics that show gun less countries because that simply dose not exist.

More real statistics show that a country like Great Britain that has a more strict set of gun control laws then the United States and has more crime per capita then us. Regardless of weather it is a gun related crime or not they are averaging more crime per capita every year.

I endorse gun ownership by all but I also endorse education. Gun safety and training should be done by everyone who owns or would like to own any type of firearm. I am a firm believer that even children (from about 7 or 8) in a home with guns should be educated on firearm safety. I think the more we keep from our kid the more they want to know.

Crimes don't equal deaths. there may be more crimes in G.B., but how many deaths are there caused by those crimes?
I know it's too late to take away the guns. We should have just had better laws in the first place.
