The City of Maricopa is offering its first Citizen Leadership Academy to local residents starting March 6, 2008. The Leadership Academy is a free, hands-on, interactive public information program that allows citizens an insight into City services and the functions of City departments.
The Citizen Leadership Academy will consist of eight, two-hour evening sessions,  with one session per week for eight weeks. The program will be held on Thursday evenings beginning March 6, 2008.

The Citizen Leadership Academy is an interactive program that  is open to anyone interested. All participants interested in the Citizen Leadership Academy are encouraged to attend all of the sessions in order to get the most from the program. All sessions, unless otherwise noted, are from 6:30pm-8:30pm. and will be held at City Hall, 45145 West Madison Avenue.  The Citizen Leadership Academy is a hands-on experience that will allow Maricopa  residents to get a behind the scenes look of how city government operates.
